The late John Barnicoat (1924-2013) was an artist known for his work in a variety of different formats including oils on canvas and panel, temperas on paper, works on paper in pen and ink, conté and acrylic.
John studied painting at the Royal College of Art between 1952 to 1955 and later became a tutor at various art schools in the UK. He was also an author, writing a successful book on the art of the poster and curated many exhibitions and one-man shows across London, Paris and in Russia.
John’s wife Allie, hired me to create a website to showcase his vast works and with the aim of selling some pieces and exhibiting others in art galleries. After photographer Queenie Waterman captured the collection, I designed and built the website with a gallery, information about John’s life and contact details.
